Grant, 31, and the remaining five contestants traveled to Scotland and dressed in traditional kilts for the episode airing on Monday, February 24.

In a confessional, Grant remarked, “Another thrilling day in Edinburgh, Scotland. Kilts everywhere, and this marks the final group date before hometown visits, raising the stakes.”

While the other participants appeared to enjoy their time with Grant, Carolina, 29, seemed more distant.

In her confessional, Carolina admitted, “It’s really hard seeing other relationships with Grant develop right in front of me. I don’t want to keep seeking reassurance and asking if he really wants me here.”

Sitting alone at a table, Carolina's somber demeanor caught Grant's attention, which did not sit well with the other contestants.

“Carolina couldn’t seem more disinterested in being on this group date,” Dina Lupancu commented to producers while Grant approached Carolina, asking, “What’s bothering you?”

After Carolina and Grant stepped away for a private conversation, Sarafiena Watkins expressed her frustration, saying, “It’s annoying to see someone so negative still get time with him.”

Zoe McGrady added, “I’m not acting like a damsel in distress, so I don’t understand why he would pull her aside. It feels like the Carolina show all over again.”

Disney/Anne Marie Fox On the Monday, February 17 episode, Carolina’s conduct stirred tension among the contestants. They felt she wasn’t grateful enough for her time with Grant, despite having had both a one-on-one romantic date in Las Vegas and a group date.

Carolina, who works in public relations, admitted she likes Grant but could not see herself getting engaged to him due to not knowing him well enough yet.

This triggered Juliana Pasquarosa, who argued that Carolina did not appear "grateful" for having spent time with Grant. She also questioned why Carolina remained in the competition if her intentions weren't focused on creating a future with the day trader.

I usually mind my own business, but this needs to be addressed,” Juliana, 28, confessed. “How can you sit there and be so ungrateful when there are people like me who haven't had a single one-on-one date or received any group-date roses?”

Juliana pulled Carolina aside to inform her that complaining about not spending enough time with Grant wouldn’t sit well with the other contestants.

As expected, the rest of the women confronted Carolina at the pre-rose ceremony cocktail party about her relationship with Grant, leading her to break down in tears while trying to justify herself.

Grant requested to speak with Juliana regarding the group date incident with Carolina. Juliana mentioned that Carolina seemed “ungrateful and unhappy” following her one-on-one date with Grant.

The former basketball player then asked Carolina about her feelings towards their date and was apprehensive that she might be doubting their relationship. Carolina expressed her frustration with being questioned by the other girls and explained that it was normal to have uncertainties at this early stage. Ultimately, Grant decided to keep both Carolina and Juliana around.

Carolina also shared Story posts showing support from viewers on social media.

One fan commented on X, questioning why everyone was astonished that Carolina wasn't completely infatuated with Grant by week 4. Another fan chimed in, wondering why it was surprising that the whole day centered around Carolina given that all the girls had invested so much effort in disliking her, gossiping about her, and stirring up drama with her.
