Brittany Cartwright Comments on Former Partner Jax Taylor’s 'Nonsense' (Exclusive)

Brittany Cartwright opens up to Life & Style about the challenges she faced during her marriage to her estranged husband, Jax Taylor, and gives an update on her current dating life.

“I’m very much single. I think it’s fun to date around. I’m not gonna say I haven’t dated around. But, you know, I’m just having fun right now,” Brittany, 36, who announced her separation from Jax, 45, in February 2024, reveals. “I’m not in a relationship or anything like that. I don’t think I’m ready for that for a while. I still have a lot of things to work on with myself from this marriage that I have been in. So, I want to heal myself before I jump into something else immediately.”

Brittany and Jax concluded their four-year marriage in February 2024, and the Kentucky native officially filed for divorce that August, Life & Style confirmed at the time. In the documents, Brittany requested primary and legal custody of their three-year-old son, Cruz Taylor.

Nevertheless, Brittany wishes for Jax to continue his relationship with their son and previously shared with Life & Style her thoughts on Jax’s role as a father.

“[Jax] is a great father. He’s just a terrible husband, so I’d never want to take Cruz away from him or anything like that. I still always, no matter what, want him to be in his life,” Brittany said at the time. “We’re trying to improve every single day, but if I needed something, Jax would be there for me, and he would be there for Cruz immediately.”

As part of her healing journey, Brittany is also focused on regaining her confidence after her remarkable weight loss transformation.

“When I had Cruz, it was incredibly difficult to get my figure back. I felt like my body had lost its curves and had become very shapeless,” Brittany reveals to Life & Style. “But AirSculpt changed that instantly, and I’m thrilled with the results. I would rate it a solid 10 out of 10 and highly recommend it.”

On the professional front, Brittany will make her return to Bravo for the second season of The Valley. Viewers will witness how she and her ex-partner navigate co-parenting following their break-up, which occurred after the first season of The Valley ended.

Brittany and Jax were married at the Kentucky Castle in 2019. Fans got to see their grand wedding weekend on Vanderpump Rules, where the couple exchanged vows in the presence of their loved ones.

Lisa Vanderpump, who surprised the couple at their wedding, shared her thoughts on their separation exclusively with Life & Style in April 2024.

“I mean, you know, divorces are quite common these days. Given the nature of two young reality TV stars, their chances of a successful marriage were perhaps slimmer than most,” said the 64-year-old matriarch of Vanderpump Rules. “But with a child in the picture, Brittany was likely seeking a stable relationship.
