Who Are the Coaches for ‘The Voice’ Season 27?

Michael Bublé is the sole returning coach from season 26. Former coaches John Legend and original coach Adam Levine have returned, along with new mentor Kelsea Ballerini. Kelsea once substituted for Kelly Clarkson when Kelly was ill during season 20.

John coached from seasons 16 to 22, then returned for seasons 24 and 25 before taking a break and rejoining in season 27.

Adam left the show after 16 seasons to focus on his family, including his children Dusty Rose Levine, Gio Grace Levine, and a son with his wife, Behati Prinsloo.

Adam felt it was the right time to return.

“The best way to put it is that the opportunity presented itself at the perfect moment. I was genuinely ready, and as we started discussing it, everything fell into place, leading to my comeback.”

Adam explained, "It really was that easy.”

Meanwhile, Kelsea has openly expressed her admiration for the contestants since becoming part of the show.

“I feel incredibly fortunate to be involved in this. I am looking forward to everyone witnessing the incredible TALENT, the vibrant energy, and the joy surrounding us,” the “Half of My Hometown” singer mentioned in the comments section of a January 7, 2025, post on the official NBC Instagram account.

In a conversation with WTHR, Kelsea shared that her role as a judge on The Voice has been “a dream come true.”

“I added it to my bucket list after I got to step in for Kelly Clarkson a few years back during the Battle Rounds when she was unwell. I came away from that experience saying, ‘I so badly want to do this one day,’” she told the publication.
