The Bachelor rose ceremony takes an unexpected turn in the latest episode, as a preview shows two women stepping aside for a conversation during Grant Ellis' elimination ceremony.
In a sneak peek of the Monday, February 24, episode shared by People, participants Zoe McGrady and Alexe Godin confessed to feeling anxious during the rose ceremony held at an estate in Edinburgh, Scotland.
“I am feeling anxious,” admitted Zoe, 27, during a confessional. “You always want more time, maybe just one more conversation.”
Alexe, 27, added, “This rose is crucial because it represents who I truly envision as my wife.”
When the women entered the room for the ceremony, Carolina Quixano acknowledged she might have gone too far in her disputes with the others. Acknowledging her concerns that her issues with other contestants could have harmed her relationship with Grant, 31, Carolina, 29, expressed to the cameras that “there’s a lot at stake tonight.”
“This is the most nervous I’ve been at any rose ceremony,” she continued. “The drama escalated too much this week.”
Carolina mentioned she was hoping for a particular conversation and didn’t wish for any negativity or bad feelings. She then interrupted Grant mid-ceremony to ask Dina Lupancu, “Can I speak with you for a moment?”
Although the reason Carolina pulled Dina, 32, aside during the ceremony remains unclear, the public relationship producer has clashed with several contestants in recent episodes.
In the February 17 episode, Carolina had a confrontation with Juliana Pasquarosa after expressing frustration over being chosen for another group date. Carolina confessed she was uncertain about her future with Grant due to their limited time together, prompting criticism from several women who pointed out she was among the few to secure a one-on-one date.
Before the episode aired, Carolina responded to criticism about her concerns regarding her relationship with Grant.
‘Heaven forbid you're uncertain about a guy you've only had one date with,’ she commented in a video from the show posted on her Instagram Stories, where she was seen being challenged by the other women.
In another promotional clip for the February 24 show shared by Us Weekly, Carolina had difficulty enjoying herself during a group date.
“It’s really tough seeing other people’s interactions with Grant right in front of me,” she said in a confessional. “I don’t want to seek validation or ask, ‘Please show me that you want me here.’”
Later, while seated at a table, Grant and the other women on the date quickly picked up on her negative mood.
Disney/Matt Sayles “Carolina appeared to be extremely uncomfortable on this group date,” Dina mentioned to the cameras.
Grant then approached Carolina to inquire about her feelings, after which they went off for a private chat, causing discontent among the other women. Sarafiena Watkins commented, “I’m definitely a little annoyed.”
Having a person with such a negative attitude still receiving attention is certainly challenging."
"I’m not acting like a helpless victim, so it was odd for him to take me aside, don’t you think?" Zoe added. "It's the Carolina show all over again."
Viewers can catch the unfolding drama on the February 24 episode of The Bachelor, which broadcasts on ABC at 8 p.m. ET.
