Travis Kelce relied on the support of his friends, including the Chainsmokers' Alex Pall and Drew Taggart, after the Kansas City Chiefs' defeat by the Philadelphia Eagles at Super Bowl LIX.
Although the Chiefs held a Super Bowl afterparty on Sunday, February 9, with performances from Quavo, Kelce's buddy Machine Gun Kelly, and the Chainsmokers, the 35-year-old tight end chose to skip the festivities and stay in following the game.
On Monday, February 10, a video was shared on X, showing Travis in a FaceTime call with Alex, 39, and Drew, 35, after the Chainsmokers' set at the afterparty. "I just played your f–king party," the musicians told Travis about the afterparty.
Despite the 40-22 loss, Travis seemed to be in good spirits, smiling while chatting with his friends. “Dom is here too,” someone on the call shouted before the camera shifted to reveal Travis with DJ Dom Dolla.
It remains unclear who else was with Travis, though his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, was notably missing from the video. However, this doesn’t imply she wasn’t there to support him. After all, Taylor, 35, was spotted in a private suite at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, cheering him and his team on during the game.
The "Shake It Off" singer was accompanied by her family and some celebrities in her suite, including Ice Spice, the Haim sisters, Alana, Este and Danielle Haim, MGK, 34, and more. Known for her cheerful manner at Chiefs' events, Taylor appeared stressed as she watched the Eagles dominate.
While fans are accustomed to seeing Taylor and Travis celebrate his wins together on the field, they didn't get a glimpse of them reuniting due to the loss. Nevertheless, Travis was photographed looking dejected as he entered Taylor’s suite post-game.
Before the big game, Travis had expressed how supportive Taylor has been of his career since they began dating in summer 2023.
“She’s fully urging me to relish playing this game,” he mentioned regarding the “Cornelia Street” singer during his appearance on the Stephen A. Smith Show on January 15. “She loves attending games at Arrowhead Stadium and cheering for me, providing me with all the support I need to keep pursuing these dreams.”
Travis elaborated that his stable relationship with Taylor has contributed to his improvement as an athlete this season.
"The wonderful aspect of being in a strong relationship is receiving the support that allows you to concentrate on your skills," the professional athlete remarked. "You can focus on becoming the best version of yourself."
