Jessica Alba has begun divorce proceedings from Cash Warren
The 43-year-old Honest Company founder submitted the divorce documents on Friday, February 7, as confirmed by Life & Style. The official date of separation is recorded as December 27, 2024. Jessica cited "irreconcilable differences" as the cause for the split. TMZ was the first to break the news, mentioning that Cash, 45, filed shortly after Jessica, and noting the absence of a prenuptial agreement.
The pair first met while working on the 2005 film The Fantastic Four; Jessica played Sue Storm, while Cash was the director's assistant. They married in 2008 and have three children together.
Jessica, known for her role in Honey, has been candid about her relationship with Cash, describing an immediate bond upon their first meeting.
“I knew instantly upon meeting him that he was someone I’d know forever. It was surreal. He felt like family right away,” the Killers Anonymous actress shared with InStyle in a 2013 interview, according to People. “I’d never had that feeling with anyone else. We clicked right away. We’re kindred spirits.”
Jessica also commended Cash for recognizing when she needed a break and encouraging her to enjoy time with friends.
“On weekends, Cash would sometimes tell me, ‘Go pamper yourself with a manicure. Haven is napping, and Honor and I will play together. I know you’re hardworking. You deserve some time for yourself,” the Trigger Warning star reflected. “To me, that’s romantic. He’s acknowledging my importance and showing me that I’m more than just the kids’ mother or his event companion.”
In an April 2024 conversation on Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt’s podcast, “BDA Baby,” Jessica elaborated on the challenges in her marriage.
“We have a friendship and a level of comfort, knowing 'You’re not leaving,' and sometimes that means we don’t always treat each other the best,” Jessica revealed during the podcast episode.

The next month, everything appeared fine between the ex-couple as they marked their sixteenth wedding anniversary together.
“16 years married, 20 years together, and forever to go,” Jessica expressed on Instagram. “Happy Anniversary @cash_warren. I'm proud of our journey so far.”
She added, “No rules or guidance can truly prepare you for the commitment of being with someone and forming a family together. Through all the ups and downs, we have always managed to find our way back to each other, choosing one another time and time again.
Here's to us, my love for you is immense."
Nevertheless, within less than a year, their relationship faced challenges. In December 2024, Jessica was observed in Rome without her wedding ring while accompanied by Andrea Iervolino. The next month, Cash was also noticed without his ring in Los Angeles.
On January 8, news emerged that Jessica and Cash had “recently separated and were proceeding with their divorce plans.” TMZ was the first to break the story.
