Love Is Blind season 8 made its comeback on Valentine’s Day in 2025, featuring 32 single participants who entered the pods with the hope of finding love beyond physical attraction. This season concluded with five engaged couples, among them David “Dave” Bettenburg and Lauren O’Brien. Now, fans are eager to find out if Dave and Lauren are still together.

Are Love Is Blind Stars Dave and Lauren Still Together?
Dave struggled to choose between Lauren and fellow contestant Molly Mullaney while in the pods, but he ultimately proposed to Lauren, who accepted. The fact that they continue to follow each other on Instagram suggests they might still be together or at least have remained on good terms after filming concluded. This season was shot in March 2024 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
What Happened With Love Is Blind’s Dave and Lauren in the Pods?
Lauren found her time in the pods quite challenging. Dave had formed connections with both her and Molly, who seemed confident she would end up with Dave. Unaware that Lauren was also a contender, Molly’s comments about her time with Dave caused Lauren to feel unsettled. However, a turning point occurred when Lauren confronted Dave about his relationship with Molly.
“I feel very confident about us, but I've been wondering if you were just saying the same things to both of us or if she’s interpreting things differently,” Lauren expressed in episode 5.
Courtesy of NetflixDave acknowledged that his emotions for Molly were “confusing" due to their similarities but mentioned they hadn’t had "very deep conversations." He also noted that his uncertainty about whether Lauren was seeing other guys had “held him back” from pursuing her more assertively.
During a subsequent date with Molly, she asked Dave if he felt he had a stronger “emotional connection” with Lauren, and he admitted that he did. This admission led him to end things with Molly and solidify his commitment to Lauren.
Love Is Blind’s Dave and Lauren Seemingly Have a Rough Road Ahead
Though the midseason trailer depicted Dave and Lauren enjoying a blissful time by the ocean after the pods, their transition back to real life appears to be less smooth. One major concern for Dave regarding their engagement was the disapproval of his sister.
Lauren felt nervous about meeting her, but in one scene, the educational saleswoman was shown crying over the situation.
“Where do things stand between you and your sister?” Lauren tearfully asked Dave. “I feel so powerless in all of this.”
In episode 7 of Love Is Blind, Dave found out that he shared mutual friends with a person Lauren was casually dating just before she began filming the show. This revelation troubled him, causing him to doubt her readiness for marriage.
The situation intensified when Dave asserted that his friends believed Lauren was “hooking up” with the unnamed individual “right before” she started the show. Despite her denial, Dave remained skeptical. Additionally, it became known that Dave had been sleeping away from their shared apartment.
In another scene, Dave was heard saying, “You two clearly were involved,” as the camera captured Lauren laughing. She responded, “I’m not hiding anything. I’m completely honest with you.”
However, their relationship may become even more strained when the cast reunites, and Dave converses with Molly.
“We are each other’s person,” Molly told Dave. “You are free to completely change your mind.”
Dave replied, “I messed up,” which doesn’t look promising for Lauren.
