"I must admit, ma'am, when I heard you were leaving The Today Show, my first thought was, 'What's she up to next?'" joked Clarkson, 42. "I knew you wouldn’t just sit idle. You're like me; you thrive on challenges and love working."

"I do enjoy keeping busy," Kotb responded. "I got interested in the wellness space a few years ago. Initially, I thought it was all a bit strange, but as I delved into it, I started feeling calmer and better."

"There's something to be said for 'woo woo' making you feel good," Clarkson observed, echoing Kotb's sentiment.

Kotb went on to share that she’s working on a wellness app and company, which will include retreats and a podcast.

“It’s an opportunity to gather, do things I am passionate about, and leave feeling changed, more rejuvenated than after a typical vacation with friends,” she explained to Clarkson. “I’m in the process of bringing it all together.”

“That’s enormously beneficial, giving a voice to that and fostering a community,” Clarkson noted. “Many of us need improvement in that area. We are constantly on the go and find it difficult to slow down.”

Kotb mentioned that her new initiative would launch in the spring and assured Clarkson she would be kept in the loop.

“Don’t just tell me about it, invite me!” Clarkson laughed, with Kotb promising that Clarkson would be included.

As Kotb's final week on Today begins, called “Hoda-bration”, the anchor had a nostalgic reunion with 70 of her Tri Delta sorority sisters from Virginia Tech.

Later during the show, her co-host on Today with Hoda & Jenna, Jenna Bush Hager, collaborated with one of Kotb’s beloved authors, Charlie Mackesy, the writer of The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse, to present her with a unique painting.
