More of Natalia Grace’s experiences with the DePaul family after leaving the home of her adoptive parents, Cynthia and Antwon Mans, will be revealed in the latest episodes of The Curious Case of Natalia Grace: The Final Chapter.
In an exclusive preview for the third episode premiering January 7 on Investigation Discovery, legal analyst Beth Karas discusses the theory that the Manses are potentially trying to blackmail 21-year-old Natalia with the messages she exchanged with her online boyfriend, Neil. In a phone call to the producers in 2023, the Manses expressed their mistrust of Natalia, alleging she had “done other things.”
Although the details of what her parents were referencing remain vague, viewers later discover the Manses were displeased with Natalia’s secret communications with Neil, which she managed without their permission and even considered relocating to the U.K. to be with him.
In a previous episode, the Manses and Natalia addressed their disagreements and how they apparently settled them: Cynthia and Natalia both said that the secret messages between Natalia and Neil had been erased from her Facebook account. However, in episode 3 titled 'The Hell Loop,' Karas implies that the Manses might have kept the private exchanges secretly to use against Natalia if she ever accused them of mistreatment.
Nicole DePaul, from the family who Natalia currently resides with in upstate New York, speculates in a future episode, “I’m starting to realize that Natalia isn’t being brainwashed by Cynthia and Antwon. She’s being blackmailed by them. Natalia is lying on camera because they’re holding something over her.”
Since her dramatic departure from the Manses' home in Tennessee and her move to the DePaul family in upstate New York, Natalia has shared various versions of her life with the Manses.

When allegations of physical abuse by Cynthia and Antwon against their children came up, Natalia chose not to comment on them with the producers. In the final two episodes airing tonight, 'The Hell Loop' and 'Breaking the Chains,' viewers will hear what Natalia reveals about her parents during her conversations with others.
The Curious Case of Natalia Grace: The Final Chapter wraps up tonight from 9 to 11 p.m.
