Craig Conover shared that he decided to freeze his sperm just a few months prior to his breakup with Paige DeSorbo, which was revealed during the season 10 premiere of Southern Charm.
“Paige and I agreed to freeze my sperm,” Craig, 35, told his co-stars Austen Kroll and Shep Rose on the Thursday, January 2, episode, which was filmed in summer 2024.
Craig also discussed his choice with Paige, 32, who was surprised by his proactive decision towards fatherhood. “I was considering freezing my sperm,” he told her, and she replied, “That’s like the craziest thing ever.”
Although Paige was taken aback, Craig proceeded with his plan, and the cameras followed him to a sperm bank to complete the process.
Craig elaborated on his motivation, explaining that he “read about someone who had a car accident” and was no longer able to have children.
“I feel it’s important for me to mention that becoming a dad is something that must happen in my future,” he told Austen, 37, and Shep, 44.
The Bravo star also expressed his desire to eventually become a father, though he noted it was probably “going to be three or four years” before having kids, given Paige’s plan. His current objective, he explained, was to “earn as much money as possible.”
“I want children someday. Have I ever said I want kids immediately?” Craig continued. “I’ve never claimed I want kids right now.”
While Austen was worried that Craig and Paige weren’t aligned on marriage and parenting, the Sewing Down South founder admitted his life hasn’t followed the path he envisioned.
“The life I imagined for myself isn’t my reality, which included a stable home like the one I grew up in,” he said. “Every night at dinner, my parents were present with my brother. I cherished that.”
Craig added, “But if you find the right person, and they happen to be a spirited Italian from New York, plans don’t always unfold as expected.”

“Craig and I have mutually decided to end our relationship,” she mentioned at that time. “I care deeply for him, and I believe he feels the same about me. We aim to stay friends. No one is at fault. It wasn’t a negative situation. I think we were just being honest and understanding about our needs and wants, which is very empowering to express in real-time and for the future.”
Following her announcement, speculation arose suggesting that Paige was unfaithful to Craig. However, the Summer House star dismissed the rumors by replying to a TikTok video, “I’m so obsessed with all this fan fiction.”
