Christina Haack (formerly known as Christina Hall) and Josh Hall ended their relationship in July 2024, and their HGTV show, The Flip Off, is revealing the dramatic turn of events to the audience.
In a teaser for the January 29 season premiere, the now-separated couple was recorded during an uncomfortable car ride. Josh, 44, mostly led the conversation before bluntly telling his wife to "be quiet."
“This is a competition. We must give it our all. I’ll do whatever it takes to win. Halls rule!” Josh enthused, glancing at his wife in the passenger seat. “You’re supposed to join in with me, or echo it, or anything to show you’re on my side.”
Christina, 41, who stars in Christina on the Coast, remained silent, staring straight ahead as the car moved.
“Remember you are now a Hall. Don’t forget your last name during this competition,” Josh went on, awaiting her reaction, and finally remarked, “You’re being impolite.”
Christina eventually responded, her voice unsteady, “I don’t talk over others.”
The situation intensified further. “Yeah, the things you say make me think, ‘I wish you’d stop talking already,’" Josh pressed on. "My wife is already irritating me.”
Christina refrained from responding directly to him, instead trying to wrap up the exchange by asking, “Are we there yet?”
Josh was Christina’s third husband, after her 2021 separation from her second husband, Ant Anstead. Married in 2022, they were set to face off against Christina’s first husband, Tarek El Moussa, and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa, in house-flipping competitions on The Flip Off.

A source informed Us Weekly on July 17, 2024, that Christina and her fellow cast members were "continuing" with the production of The Flip Off "without Josh" after the couple's dual divorce filings.
The former couple's divorce has been contentious, drawing media attention due to conflicts over the sale of her Tennessee residence and financial issues.
“[She is] requesting my removal from a contract we both signed for a new HGTV series, The Flip Off,” he mentioned in legal documents acquired by In Touch in September 2024.
Seemingly, Christina’s second ex-husband has taken over Josh’s role on the show following their separation. On November 7, 2024, Christina and Ant, 45, were seen filming her forthcoming HGTV program together in Los Angeles. The images captured the British native arriving on set and interacting with crew members before starting work with Christina. In another picture, the former couple was seen having a pleasant conversation, with Ant beaming at Christina.
Christina and Ant didn’t always maintain such a pleasant demeanor post-divorce. However, a source exclusively revealed to Life & Style on October 30, 2024, that the British car enthusiast’s actress girlfriend, Renée Zellweger, played a key role in repairing their relationship, allowing him to join The Flip Off.
“She persuaded Ant that holding on to grudges was pointless and disliked seeing him so upset. Things have improved since then. She also extended an olive branch to Christina and is looking forward to a peaceful holiday season,” the insider shared.
