Nikki Glaser Invested Close to $100K on 22 Eras Tour Performances

The Ultimate Swiftie Award is presented to... Comedian Nikki Glaser traveled globally to attend nearly twenty Eras tour shows during Taylor Swift’s historic tour, revealing to People that it cost her “almost $100,000.”

“Just to clarify, I’m including travel costs, accommodations, and the expenses of flying and hosting everyone I invited, along with tickets and merchandise,” the 40-year-old Nikki explained to the outlet in an interview published on Thursday, December 19. She further noted that it was “absolutely worth it” and said she “would’ve spent even more.”

Nikki explained that she justified the expense because she doesn’t have children, a conscious decision she made, despite it being a difficult choice for her.

“It wasn’t an easy choice. A part of me wanted kids, but it just didn’t suit my life,” she elaborated. “To feel better about my decision, I researched the cost of raising a child. Once I saw that amount, spending it on Taylor Swift didn’t seem like a big deal.”

Taylor, 35, shattered records with her 21-month tour, performing 44 songs from her 11 “eras” across five continents. According to the New York Times, the Eras tour generated $2,077,618,725 in ticket sales, exceeding the gross ticket sales of any other concert tour in history by double.

“It’s great to see the exact total she earned,” Nikki commented to People . “I love that it was specified down to the dollar, and I could see my contribution in that figure and think, ‘There it is.’”

Many Swifties worldwide were frustrated that while some fans and friends of Taylor could attend multiple shows, others had to resort to watching low-quality live streams due to high resale prices. Nonetheless, the 2025 Golden Globes host faced additional criticism.

“Those who criticize you are just envious. I get it; I feel jealousy too. But no one ever shames people for having kids and says, 'Oh, what a waste of money. Oh, you’re flaunting your wealth,’” she continued."

“But for some reason, attending 22 Taylor Swift concerts means people view me as privileged and question how I could justify spending that amount of money.”

"I find it really perplexing," Nikki admitted. "If I hadn't purchased the ,000 ticket, it would've ended up in the hands of some trust fund kid or a hedge fund manager buying it for his niece. I wish the world were more just. I truly wish it was a lottery system."

The Someday You’ll Die actress previously discussed her spending on the Eras Tour during an October 2023 episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show. At that point, Nikki had seen nine concerts during Taylor's initial U.S. tour, revealing she had spent a total of $25,000.

"It brings so much happiness into my life," she shared. "Being in my late 30s without children, I calculated that if I had kids, I’d be spending on dance camps and swimming lessons."

In addition to the 22 concerts she attended, Nikki also had plans to attend one of Taylor's shows in Vienna, Austria, with her sister Lauren Glaser in August. Unfortunately, the concerts were canceled due to a "planned terrorist attack."

The sisters learned about the cancellation just before they were about to board their flight to Europe and went viral for their parody of “Cruel Summer,” changing the well-known lines to: “On our way to Vienna on a flight that was late/ Oh, planning outfits and singing songs/ We had no idea how things could go wrong.”
