The Bachelor season 28’s main star Joey Graziadei returns to assist season 29’s lead Grant Ellis navigate some challenging relationship choices.
“This week has been tougher than I anticipated, so I could use Joey’s guidance since he’s experienced this before,” 31-year-old Grant mentioned in a clip from the episode airing Monday, March 3, after returning from hometown dates needing to eliminate one contestant.
“It’s been emotionally draining,” Grant confessed to 29-year-old Joey about his four hometown dates. “I knew I’d develop feelings, but I didn’t expect them to be this intense.”
The Pennsylvania native thoughtfully responded over beers, “I think the key thing is to pause when you feel something. Your words will carry a lot of weight in the coming weeks.”
ABC After sending one contestant home at the evening’s rose ceremony, Grant will head to the Dominican Republic with his three finalists, one of whom might become his fiancée.
“I’m a bit nervous because my biggest fear is ending up alone,” Grant shared with Joey.
When Joey inquired if the rose ceremony was that evening, Grant confirmed it was and elaborated, “Rose ceremonies are always the toughest. And tonight’s decision will be one of the hardest I’ve ever made.”
“I’ll tell you this. From my experience, there’s something to be said about following your gut feeling. I relied on that throughout my journey on the show,” Joey advised.
The clip concluded with Grant confessing to a producer, “There will be heartbreak tonight. All I can do is follow my heart.”
Grant, a day trader, went on hometown dates with Juliana Pasquarosa, Zoe McGrady, Litia Garr, and Dina Lupancu. He chose his final four while in Scotland during the episode on Monday, February 24, sending Alexe Godin, Carolina Quixano, and Sarafiena Watkins home.
Fans will undoubtedly tune in to see Grant and Juliana, both 28, travel to Newton, Massachusetts, while he visits New York City with Zoe, 27. The former professional basketball player and Dina, 32, explore her roots in Chicago, Illinois, as Grant and Litia, 31, venture to Wyoming.
Trusting his instincts proved beneficial for Joey during his time on The Bachelor. In the finale aired on March 25, 2024, he proposed to the recipient of his final rose, Kelsey Anderson.
Kelsey, aged 26, was a major pillar of support for her fiancé during his Dancing With the Stars journey. They moved in together in Los Angeles while he participated in season 33, and Joey eventually won the prestigious Len Goodman Mirrorball trophy with his dance partner, Jenna Johnson.
Following the Dancing With the Stars finale on November 26, 2024, Joey spoke about his wedding plans with Kelsey.

Although the pair hadn't yet determined the scale of their wedding or if they wanted it to be broadcasted, Joey elaborated, "We both agreed that the wedding should be something personal. So, interpret that as you will. We'll make the decisions along the way, but it will be tailored to us, ensuring it's a memorable and unique experience just for the two of us.
