Prince Louis captured everyone's attention with his mature look at Kate Middleton's carol service, and a source exclusively revealed to Life & Style that he has become significantly less mischievous recently, much to the pride of his parents.
The youngest child of William and Kate, age 6, melted hearts at his mother's fourth annual “Together at Christmas” carol service at Westminster Abbey on Friday, December 6. During a brief visit to the “Kindness Tree” set up before the concert, photographers spotted the message Louis penned on a red card, meant to be hung on the tree in tribute to those who have been supportive over the past year.
“Thank you to granny and grandpa for playing games with me,” read the young prince’s card.
“This year’s service offers a chance to reflect on the significance of love and empathy and how crucial our connections are, especially during the most challenging times," Kensington Palace stated about the event.
“The service will highlight individuals from across the UK who have demonstrated love, kindness, and empathy in their communities, whether through personal relationships, their work, or volunteer efforts.”
The royal source mentioned that as Louis matures swiftly, he will be encountering new experiences. His moment during the carol service revealed that, “He’s suddenly taken on a new role.”
Max Mumby/Indigo/Getty Images“He still has that endearing cheekiness that people love, but he’s becoming more settled,” the insider remarked. “Although he may always have a bit of mischief in him, as it’s part of his nature, there has definitely been a noticeable improvement. He’s doing his chores and appears to be better behaved in public.”
Merely a year ago, there was speculation regarding whether the young prince would be present at his grandfather’s coronation as King Charles III
His parents were reportedly "a bit anxious" about him being in the public spotlight during a long, widely broadcast event. The prior year, when he was 4 years old, Kate had to manage Louis's behavior at Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee celebration as he attempted to amuse himself throughout several tedious hours of British royal pageantry.
Although Louis appears to have grown out of his mischievous behavior, “It's still early to be certain he’ll never be caught making faces at the camera, but William and Kate are hoping he has managed to control it,” the source reveals.
Louis’ older sister, Charlotte, “has been a significant help” as well. “She acts like a mini mother hen, always guiding him. Whenever he misbehaves, she steps in to correct him. This approach is similar to how William and Kate deal with it. They don’t reprimand him harshly, believing that with the appropriate guidance, he will outgrow it.”
As the young prince starts to emulate his father’s noble discipline, “the approach is yielding results – his behavior has markedly improved.”
